Dr Onoufrios Haralampous is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of TEI of Thessaly at the rank of Associate Professor with specialization in “Heat and Mass Transport Phenomena with emphasis on Exhaust After-treatment Technology”. He graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) in 2000 and was employed as a researcher by the Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics in more than 10 research projects funded by the automotive and fuel industry. He co-founded the spinoff company Exothermia SA, where he coordinated the implementation of a business plan funded by Greek Secretariat of Research and Technology. In parallel he was employed as an adjunct professor by the University of Western Macedonia and AUTh. He has coauthored more than 30 scientific papers in international journals and conferences in the field of exhaust after-treatment modeling. His publications have been referenced 462 times according to Scopus as of May 2018, while one of them has been selected by SAE for the “Arch T. Colwell Merit Award”. He regularly reviews manuscripts for 3 international journals and conferences. The last years he has coordinated three research projects and established a research group of 3 post-doc researchers. His research and teaching interests further include internal combustion engines, mathematical modeling and numerical methods. |
